Incursions. CERES is able to provide training
sessions for workplaces, staff and students in sustainability
practices and ideas for environmental management systems/Triple
Bottom Line reporting. These sessions can not only support
or kick-start your Sustainable Schools program, they can also
be incorporated into a range of VELS domains in order to give

All
About Water presentations.
Yarra Valley Water has joined forces CERES Community Environment
Park to present the All About Water presentation. This FREE
educational program aims to encourage not only water education
in classrooms, but also water conservation within the school
grounds and at home.
The presentation provides P-10 classrooms with an overview
of Yarra Valley Water’s role in supplying water as well
as how to conserve water. It includes a classroom presentation
for students addressing a range of water themes such as the
water cycle; where our tap water comes from; the sewerage
system; how sewerage fits into the water cycle, the amount
of water we use, why the fresh water we have access to is
so precious; importance of water to living organisms; and
how to conserve water, both inside and outside the home. Higher
levels of learning will focus in more detail on the effects
of water restrictions and drought on ecosystems & society.
The All About Water presentation is available only to schools
serviced by Yarra Valley Water. To find out if your school
is serviced by Yarra Valley Water, click here
