CERES Community Environment Park is
an inspiring four-hectare visitor centre on the banks of the
Merri Creek in Lee St, East Brunswick, 5km from the centre
of Melbourne. Thirty years ago, this 10 acre piece of land
was a landfill site. CERES today is a thriving community environmental
park with some 60,000 visitors a year. CERES initiates
and supports environmental sustainability, social equity,
with an emphasis on cultural richness and community participation.
