us. The Living Planet Report is WWF's periodic update
on the state of the world's ecosystems. This is measured
using 2 main indicators: The Living Planet Index
and Ecological Footprint.

WWF Habitats at Risk Report 2002
Key findings of the WWF report, Habitats at Risk: Global
Warming and Species Loss in Terrestrial Ecosystems,
underscore the urgent need for immediate action by governments,
industry and communities to effectively address this
worldwide threat. The report examined the impact of
climate change on the terrestrial ecosystems that WWF
identified as part of the Global 200 — areas where
the Earth's biological wealth is most distinctive and
rich, where its loss will be most severely felt, and
where we must fight the hardest for conservation.
