Geelong East Primary School
The Office of Resources and Infrastructure (ORI) within the DEECD is evaluating the utility consumption of electricity, water, gas and waste in government schools. Geelong East Primary School was selected for an interview with the ORI. Our school was in the top performing 20% and one of the few schools in Victoria to have performed highly in every utility analysed! The interview showed the energy saving initiatives in place at Geelong East Primary School to maintain a low base energy consumption footprint. The ORI hopes to use the information gained to produce an energy manual for all Victorian schools.
