Clean Up Australia Day 2010
The students of St Therese participated in Clean Up Australia Day 2010. For Clean Up Australia Day, Grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 cleaned up the northern side of Grossmans Road between our school and the C.F.A Station. With representatives of The Surf Coast Shire we identified this as an area of need for us to target on the day. The area was covered in rubbish and looked terrible. When we came back to school we weighed the rubbish we collected.
We collected 10.2 kilograms of rubbish, which was around one cubic meter.
We stopped this rubbish washing into the ocean.
We stopped this rubbish making our town look untidy. We performed a great community service.
Well done everyone.
