CEOM - Catholic Education Office Melbourne
The Catholic Education Office Melbourne supports and leads schools to provide exemplary education for Catholic families. The CEOM provides a range of support for Catholic schools and their communities to fulfil this aspect of our mission, including our desire to live and learn sustainably. We do this by assisting teachers and school leaders to embed Education for Sustainability in teaching and learning, in school operations and when engaging with the community.
Education for Sustainability Support:
The CEOM supports students and teachers in this area by links to programs and environmental organisations, through Placed Teachers in various environmental organisations, access to grants, assistance with projects, advice on curriculum design, assistance with building projects and assistance with installation of solar panels and other ‘green technology.’
Staff of the Catholic Education Office Melbourne (CEOM), teachers from Catholic schools and the CECV Placed Teacher from CERES, form the CEOM Environmentally Sustainable Development Committee (ESD). The committee works to support schools and teachers, establishes new initiatives and provides professional learning opportunities.
