Epping Views Primary School
In June 2006, the planning committee for Epping Views Primary School gave a brief to architects this included creating a sustainable school. Our school opened in 2008 and it’s at this point sustainability practices began. When students entered our school in January of this year sustainable education began. Our statement of purpose is: To provide a learning environment that nurtures each student’s personal, social, physical and academic development in preparation for sustainable learning and living in a global world.
Sustainability is coordinated by Jan Hare, a leading teacher in the school. We then have teachers who coordinate each area of biodiversity:
- Energy – Rob Bennetts
- Water – Cameron Black
- Biodiversity – Jan Hare
- Waste – Rose McGough
