Mernda Park Primary is one of the new PPP schools to open in 2017. Located in Mernda, they had their official opening on Monday 6 February 2017.

Minster for Education James Merlino visited the school and was given a school tour, with the opportunity to speak with some of the staff and students. Also in attendance was State Member Danielle Green. James and Danielle helped Principal Mary Ryan officially open the school in front of the whole school, with some parents in attendance.

There was lots of excitement from the students and all stating various reasons what they love about the school.
