This summary supports teachers to easily see how sustainability appears in the strands of the learning areas and capabilities. CERES has played an active role in advocating for the timely publication of this document with EEV (Environment Education Victoria) and Sustainability Victoria.
Sustainability is an intrinsic part of Victorian curriculum and this mapping document will support schools to fully implement this priority of the new Victorian Curriculum F-10 for 2017. In addition, Sustainability Victoria recently published ResourceSmart Schools Curriculum Links, with suggested learning activities that link sustainability into all areas of the Victorian Curriculum from Foundation through to Year 6.
Both of these documents will support Education for Sustainability inline with the new curriculum.
