Events

Green waste drop off day

When: Sunday, 5 February 2017
Time: 8 am – 4:00pm

Where: Former landfill site (105 Graham Rd, Kangaroo Ground VIC 3097)
Details: Drop off tree prunings, garden clippings, leaves and grass (as many trailer loads as you like). We do not accept commercial loads or food waste. Free drop off is for Nillumbik residents only – remember to bring your rates notice of drivers licence to show you live in the Shire. For smaller properties, residents are encouraged to use their green waste bin every week to gradually dispose of garden material stockpiles all year round. You can also drop off garden materials for a charge at our Recycling & Recovery Centre on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (closed Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and public holidays).

Home Harvest FEASTival

When: Sunday, 26 February 2017
Time: 3pm onwards
Where: Edendale Farm, ((30 Gastons Rd, Eltham VIC)
Details: Celebrate local food and the summer harvest with us at the Home Harvest FEASTival! To join us there register as a grower to supply produce to be turned in to a shared harvest meal. Your donation of home grown produce = your ticket to attend. The FEASTival will include food and veggie gardening activities, entertainment and music as well as the shared harvest meal.
