5 Star Schools. As of 2009 there are 60 schools that have completed all of their Sustainable schools Initiative (SSI) modules, (Core, Water, Waste, Energy and Biodiversity) to become 5 Star accredited in the SSI certification system. It is hoped that the schools listed below will now transition to the new ResourceSmart 5 Star Certification System (that has replaced the old SSI 5 star system) and become 5 Star ResourceSmart AuSSI Vic Schools.
 

Each of these schools are to be congratulated for their enthusiasm, commitment and hard work in completing all of the modules. Well done!

There a number of other schools that are close to attaining 5 Star accreditation. These include Manorvale Primary School, Rolling Hills Primary School, Birmingham Primary School, Hurstbridge Primary School, Woodend Primary School, Princes Hill Secondary College, Geelong Grammar School (Glamorgan campus) and Tintern Girls Grammar. We hope to see these schools as 5 Star Schools very soon!
