Nature Play Week 2017

25th November 2016 BY: sustainabilityhub@ceres.org.au

Event date : April 12, 2017

When: April 12 Р23, 2017

Nature play is a term used to describe the creation of simple play opportunities in the natural environment. Nature play encourages kids and parents to see the natural environment as a place to enjoy, play, imagine, relax and explore. Nature Play Week is driven by a community of people dedicated to reconnecting kids with nature.

During the week, events will be held all over Victoria to encourage kids and adults to get outside and reconnect with our natural environment.

Nature Play Week is also a part of Premier’s Active April which is a campaign encouraging all Victorians to do 30 minutes of physical activity a day during April, and is the Victorian Government’s commitment to getting more people active and happy.

Nature Play week was a finalist in the Premier’s Sustainability Awards 2016 and winner of the People’s Choice Award in the community category.

Expressions of interest are currently open to register an activity or an event during Nature Play Week.
