Arnhem Land Weaving and Living on Country

Next trips depart June and July 2023.

We are privileged to run two trips each year to the remote Homeland Community of Mäpuru in East Arnhem Land. These immersive, life-changing experiences offer a unique opportunity to stay with a community and learn about Yolngu culture from Indigenous leaders.

As First Nations Elders generously share their skills and knowledge in basket weaving and bush survival over many days, participants slowly discover a different way of being in relationship with themselves, each other and Country.

Nature Based Leadership Training

Expressions of interest are now open for 2024.

This program recognises and builds on contributions from ecology, indigenous wisdom, environmental studies, eco-psychology, spiritual traditions, and place-based education, synthesising and applying them to our local context.

Nature-based leadership draws on these and other disciplines to nurture leadership in all aspects of society, so that people contribute to a healthy, peaceful and regenerative present and future.

The program runs for 10 months and includes two wilderness retreats in Victoria, fortnightly in-person training, webinars and online content.

Extended courses

Explore our program of enriching, rewarding multi-day or multi-week courses. They offer highly engaging deep learning, providing participants with life-changing and career altering skills. Join us on a stimulating journey that’s rewarding in so many ways.
