Barton PS learns about Ecosystems

Ecosystems are complex, but our Grade 2 students have been working really hard to unpack the 3 main ecosystems. Students were split into 3 groups with a main ecosystem focus. Terrestrial, Fresh water and Ocean ecosystems were researched before students set to work on creating an ecosystem poster.

During our open morning parents were quizzed on what they knew about ecosystems, they were a bit embarrassed when they said they weren’t sure what they were, not to worry because our grade 2 students showed off their ecosystem posters to parents.

One of our students wanted to know more and added a question in the ‘question corner’ of the newsletter. “Why are micro-organisms so little?”. This tested Miss Dunstan’s knowledge but hopefully Krishna got the answer he was looking for 🙂
