Biodiversity at TPPS 2020 – 2021

We are very fortunate at Templestowe Park Primary. We have an abundance of space and beautiful grounds – full of large eucalyptus trees and stunning native plants. So upon first glance, it is easy to think that TPPS supports thriving biodiversity. However, after completing our biodiversity audit in March 2020, we realised that there was much more that could be done to support local wildlife and improve our soils.

Our biodiversity audit results lead us to determine some short and long term goals- to increase habitat for wildlife and begin to tackle our school’s issue with eroding soil. As we were unable to achieve much in 2020 due to lockdowns and restrictions caused by COVID, we were determined to get some biodiversity projects completed in 2021. We think we have done a pretty amazing job!

Check out our following posts to see all our achievements from the last two years. A big thank-you to all the teachers and students who have helped out along the way!
