Over the past couple of years, the Sustainability Committee of Camberwell High has worked their way, slowly making this school more eco-friendly. All of the things we have done, such as recycling more, using less waste and participating in certain events (like the Climate Change Summit), have been recorded on the Resource Smarts website. This website helps over 1,300 schools across all of Victoria to become more sustainable. It tracks different areas of sustainability, and shows teachers, staff and students what they could do to be more eco-friendly. Camberwell High, for the past year, has nearly completed one star on the website. This year, the Sustainability Committee hope to complete the first star, and achieve more goals to make our school more ecological. Some of our objectives for 2019 are setting up a compost system, organising more fundraisers, and further reducing waste at the school.
