Whitefriars College Maintenance Team is currently removing fallen branches, small trees and clearing up the edges of the school as part of the Colleges Bush fire preparations. As a result there is a large pile of wood currently on the edge of the soccer oval. Staff have been offered free wood, branches and green waste to take home. Loads vary in size from kindling to 150 mm logs. What ever is not removed will be mulched and chipped for garden much, to be used on the College gardens, over the holiday break. This is another example of how Whitefriars College manages their green waste. Scott Firmin and the team do a terrific job!
