Program: Melbourne Water Kids Teaching Kids Conference – 22-23rd October 2015

This program brings schools together to share their knowledge of water and contribute to a discussion of how to protect our waterways.

Connects to the following modules of ResourceSmart AuSSI Vic: Biodiversity, Waste, Water

Accessible to schools in the following Melbourne metropolitan regions: Eastern, Northern and Southern

Appropriate for students in:
Primary – Grade 5 to Grade 6
Secondary – Year 7 to Year 11

What is offered to schools:

> Schools can participate in two ways:

1. Presenting at the conference.
2. Attending as an audience member.

They have access to:

  • Education resources.
  • Workshop templates and support throughout the process.
  • Email newsletters
  • At least 1 free school visit from Kids Teaching Kids to work with students to develop their workshop/performance
  • Opportunities to receive mentoring from Melbourne Water staff.
  • Email newsletters.
  • Email and phone support
  • Media support
  • Glass trophy if they host or present at an event

This program is for Grade 5 to Year 11 students.
Venues are Etihad Stadium and Collingwood Children’s Farm.

The topics include a number of water themes eg. waterways, water conservation, litter, composting
