Term 3 saw the whole school commumity at IPS involved in a fabulous, fun ‘Enviro Day’. The focus of the day was about raising awareness and celebrating all the sustainable practises that are in place at Ivanhoe Primary School.

CERES partnered with Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre to work with young people from diverse backgrounds in a 14 week hospitality work experience program. Students worked on their employability skills while working towards completing Cert II in Hospitality units and planning for a pop-up restaurant event.

As a part of their Inquiry learning where the students were developing skills in team work and how to contribute to the community, the Year 3s have begun to work towards creating a garden. This garden will not only grow vegetables for the students but become part of a sustainable project that aims to encompass and compliment a whole school approach to sustainable practice.
