Keep Cup Fundraiser/Solar Buddy Program

EnviroFriends ran a fundraiser selling 220 KeepCups to our school community. Staff and students are encouraged to use a renewable cup to prevent waste going into landfill. Solar lamp kits were purchased with the funds raised and EnviroFriend students took part in the SolarBuddy Program during Term One, 2019. Throughout this program, students learnt about energy poverty, renewable energy and global citizenship. Our students constructed solar lamps and were empowered to light up the world. The gift of a SolarBuddy solar light helps children living in energy poverty, to continue studying long after the sun goes down improving their education outcomes and overall health and well-being.
