MKPS – Sprinkler System and New Tank
Sprinkler System and Plumbing Works
Late in 2014 we completed one of our wish list items. We harnessed the rain water from the enormous basketball court roof, installed a tank and pump and a sprinkler system on our hot houses.
We were most fortunate to receive a grant from Upper Goulburn Landcare Network towards a sprinkler system for our hot and shade houses during 2014. Thank you so much to UGLN! They are often propagating and seed-raising with us and helping us to get lots of our projects underway.
Kinglake Plumbing commenced work to alter the plumbing on the huge basketball court roof to harness the water that lands on it. We installed a rainwater tank that the Memorial Reserve Committee graciously gifted back to us (from the temporary post-fires school site). During our recent working bee day when Woodleigh School (our big brother/sister school) were visiting, Kalan’s dad Grant, Michael our wonder SSO and some very helpful students installed the sprinkler system. Now we will find it much easier to grow seedlings as we can have the sprinkler system on timer.
