National Tree Day 2018

During National Tree Day 2018 we planted over 300 plants and shrubs on our school grounds and continued our strong involvement with Barwon Water.

Students from all year levels came outside to assist in the planting, which saw us revegetating the front entrance of the school. All the indigenous seedlings were grown and generously donated by Barwon Water, with whom we have been working with for many years on this day.

This planting will really help our school with its Habitat Quality Assessment score in the Biodiversity Module for Resource Smart Schools. We have identified through the LandLearn/Greening Australia Tool, that our understory planting was a priority on our school grounds.

Thanks to Barwon Water, teachers and students for helping us improve this target.
