New Swale at Mother Teresa Primary School

The Swale was established this year to increase biodiversity in the school. The plant species planted includes Kangaroo paw, Pigface succulents, native grasses and aquatics grass.
Students have been documenting the growth of plants and animals to the area. So far we have seen a pair of ducks bathing in the mornings, skater insects and some mosquitoes. The plants are growing slowly but it promises to be a great habitat for new plants and animals to the area.
