SUSTAINABILITY and CONNECTING WITH THE COMMUNITY
As part of Padua College’s goal to be more sustainable Mannix 4 has been volunteering their time to collect old staff newspapers and bundle them up for collection for Bob MacGregor, a representative of the Mornington Tie Up Group for a Great Cause.
The group get paid $80 a tonne and the papers are sent off to be recycled. The money raised is then shared amongst a variety of charities, for instance; Seeing Eye Dogs Australia, Frontier Services, Fusion, Tom Sutherland, Biala, Temcare, Urban Neighbours hope, Uniting World, Camp Quality and the Mornington Information Centre. So far the group have raised $45, 000 for the charities.
We are proud to be a small part of this amazing cause. The new Sustainability teams at Tyabb and Rosebud will soon be on board to support this organisation too.
