The first stages of the BMG Sustainability Hub are underway! Approximately 400 trees, shrubs and native grasses were planted on the north facing embankment of the “W” block at the end of Term 1 2012. A variety of plants were put in by students, teacher and student teachers, all into sticky and wet heavy clay soil. The plants however, have held up well, many noticeably growing over the past couple of months. Eventually, the entire embankment will be revegetated right through past the astronomy dome to the main front entrance of the school. A big thanks to all those who helped with the planting and don’t worry if you missed out, as there will be plenty more to come!
