Point Cook College P-9: Journey in Education for Sustainability as a New School

Point Cook College P-9 is a new school which opened in January 2010. The school is delivered as a “Public Private Partnership” in accordance with the Victorian Government’s Partnerships Victoria framework. The college is aiming to be a leading example of ecological sustainability, with a wetland, wind turbine, Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden food garden and a range of other utility conservation measures as part of the school’s infrastructure. This is a key initiative in linking the teaching of environmental sustainability with its practical application and the college vision.”
