St Therese Torquay-Solar Boat Challenge
SOLAR BOAT CHALLENGE
On Tuesday May 2, St Therese students from year 5/6 participated in a challenge to build and race a solar boat.
The students elected to participate in the program, supported and run by Surfcoast Energy Group, and spent time designing and building a boat to race.
The students did an amazing job and were fortunate to have the fastest boat for the day. It was a great learning experience for them through working together and learning about how boats run efficiently.
Some students have also chosen to participate in the next event run by Scienceworks in October.
