Starting to take shape

The landscaping works on the north face of W block area are starting to take shape, however, due to inclement weather over the past few weeks, progress has slowed to a snail’s pace. This has not stopped the Grades 5s and 6s as well as some very enthusiastic Year 8 students from putting together more garden beds, ready to be planted out in the coming weeks.

Furthermore, as part of the Year 8 Community Service program, students from 8E and 8F braved the cold, wet and windy weather to finalise the revegetation of the embankment. As these native and indigenous plants establish themselves, they will make the beginnings of a minimal maintenance native garden, to increase biodiversity in the area as well as provide valuable educational links in Environmental Science, Geography and Outdoor Education.
