Tree Planting Day
Mill Park Heights students had a great time planting native trees and bushes as part of the National Tree Planting Day in July. We were lucky to get so many donations so that all classes could participate.
Native trees and bushes were placed in various places around the school, however we are trying to revegetate an area under some ironbark trees next to our oval so quite a few were planted there. We planted native trees and bushes to encourage the local birds and insects into the area. The new plants are protected from students until they can establish themselves.
