On the 20th of May, to celebrate National Walk Safely To School Day, the Sandy House Environment Action Group promoted this event by asking the Sandringham House community to get involved.
61% of Sandy House students and teachers walked or rode to school on Friday. Thanks to 2M, who had the highest percentage in the school, 94%! This was a fantastic effort.
Sandy House had outstanding results, especially if some people had to walk or ride from as far as Mentone and Beaumaris, which are several kilometres away.
We have also encouraged people to walk to school more often, not just on Walk Safely to School Day.
Good job to everyone who participated and made a special effort to walk to school on Friday!
