Water at Barton Primary School

We have had a busy start to Enviro already this year!
Last year our ResourceSmart focus was on waste.
We completed this module and now we are awaiting certification.
This year our focus is on Water and we have already begun lots of great learning.
Preps to Year 6 have been discussing how we use water at home and at school and have started investigating ways that we can conserve water.
One of the activities the grade oes and twos did this week was look at how much water goes down the drain when using our drinking taps. We discovered that lots of water ends up down the drain and that we could collect this water using buckets instead and put this water on the garden or use it in the art room to wash paint brushes and eventually, feed our chickens.
