As part of our ongoing focus on minimising waste, the Green Team students frequently walk to the local wetlands to lead community clean ups. Students learn about the responsible disposal of rubbish and the impact of rubbish dumped irresponsibly on animals and the local environment. Once we return to school, we sort, record and analyse the types of litter collected and send to the local council for monitoring. While it can sometimes be shocking to see the amount of waste in our local area, it is always wonderful to see our students making a difference to the community and to hear of many students continuing their efforts after school and on the weekend. We are very proud to have such keen environmental ambassadors at Tulliallan Primary School.
