2015 National Tree Planting Day

On Friday the 24th of July students at Seaford Park Primary School planted 100 trees, shrubs & grasses donated to the school by Frankston City Council for National Tree Day. The children enjoyed working together to plant the shrubs and grasses in Amaroo, a beautiful outdoor learning space created for the students. The remaining trees were planted the following Thursday during Gardening Club around the remainder of the school. Seaford Park was grateful to add these trees to the school to provide more shade in the playground for the students. Each week in Science grades will take turns in watering and caring for these plants along with the vegetable garden to ensure their growth. Lots of creatures were found living in the garden and it was nice to see the students care for them while planting the shrubs as well as the excitement on their faces!
