Term 2 2022 Update

CERES is currently delivering ResourceSmart Schools to 77 primary and secondary schools across the Northern metropolitan region.

So far in 2022, schools in the North collectively saved $195,024.06 on resource usage through ResourceSmart Schools. The following environmental savings have also been achieved:

567 tonnes of green house gases reduced
23,487 KwH of solar power generated

493 m3 waste diverted from landfill
880 reams of paper saved

4,028 KL water saved

350 trees planted

Southern Metro Melbourne Region

Term 2 2022 Update

CERES is currently delivering ResourceSmart Schools to 127 primary and secondary schools across the Southern metropolitan region.

So far in 2022, schools in the South have collectively saved $127,118.66 on resource usage through ResourceSmart Schools. The following environmental savings have also been achieved:

464 tonnes of green house gases reduced
59,620 KwH of solar power generated

210 m3 waste diverted from landfill
124 reams of paper saved

2,899 KL water saved

313 trees planted

ResourceSmart Schools Southern metro region Progress Workshop

Date: Thursday 16th June 2022
Time: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Location: Silverton Primary School

Schools working with CERES are invited to join us to spend a productive day of facilitated support on ResourceSmart Schools!

The workshop is designed to support Sustainability Coordinators and other teachers/educators and staff involved in Sustainability from schools working through the program. CERES facilitators will be there to help you make progress on the modules and Stars you are working on.

This workshop will be hosted by the wonderful Silverton Primary School and is an excellent opportunity to network with other schools as we bring together teachers/educators and staff from the Southern metro region.

You will hear about sustainability projects from Silverton Primary School, take a tour of the school, as well as have plenty of time to work through your ResourceSmart Schools modules and stars.

Our Progress Workshop is limited to Southern Region schools, and each school receives 2 free tickets for this event. Additional tickets are available for $75 + GST.
