An expert panel discussion offering local and international perspectives on the question: Are future educators prepared to effectively teach Education for Sustainability?
This panel discussion is suitable anyone with an interest in EfS including teacher educators/researchers, teachers, pre-service teachers, people working in local and state government, Education union representatives, subject associations representatives and those working in community organisations.
On the panel will be two international speakers; Associate Professor Sherie McClam and Jennifer Cirillo, from the USA, along with Australian partners; Dr John Rafferty, Dr Monica Green, Dr Alison Lugg, and the EEV Environmental Educator of the Year, Colin Hocking. The night commences with a lubricated social conversation where ideas and questions will be gathered for the panel. At 6.45pm the panel will introduce themselves and invite questions from the audience. The event will conclude at 7.45pm with more open discussion, drinks and snacks.
